The Senior Accountant will report to the Corporate Controller. The main responsibilities will be to prepare and maintain financial records, to prepare consolidated financial statements compliant with technical GAAP, to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Participate in month-end close process for multiple operating companies and geographic locations.
  • Prepares consolidated and consolidating financial statements, for both internal and external audiences, by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and other sources.
  • Prepare loan compliance schedules on a monthly basis
  • Assists in financial analysis of operating results as needed.
  • Prepare and review general ledger entries for multiple locations.
  • Ensures the integrity of balance sheet accounts by preparing/reviewing account reconciliations
  • Analyzes current procedures/best practices and identifies opportunities and implements solutions.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting complex data.
  • Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by researching and applying purchase price accounting.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related activities as needed.
  • Assists with annual financial statement audit and periodic vendor and partner audit requests.

  • 4+ years experience in Accounting or other relevant role; preferably a combination of public accounting and industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred
  • Healthcare and/or private equity backed company experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to research and strictly apply US GAAP
  • Knowledge of accounting information systems (e.g. Sage Intacct)
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Products, specifically MS Excel
