Controller

Our client, a growing player in the real estate space, is looking to add a Controller to their growing team. This role is an exciting opportunity in a newly launched company in a start up environment.

The successful controller will wear multiple hats and responsibilities will include:

• Setting up business process and controls for the finance team,
• End to end creation and production of financial statements for month end close,
• Oversight of AP, AR, payroll and taxes,
• Creating and reporting on budgets, forecasts and variance analysis,
• Ad hoc financial reporting as required, and
• Providing business insights and strategic direction for the company. 

This role is hybrid but must be in the office a few days week. Office locations are both in Newmarket and Etobicoke. 

Qualifications: 

• CPA designation
• Experience setting up and establishing controls in start up type environment
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills 
• Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and solve problems
