IFG's hospitality client in downtown Chicago is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team. The role is 100% remote until at least March. However, upon return, it'll be Tues-Thurs in office plus six weeks out of the calendar year to work from anywhere! Newsweek ranked them in the Top 100 list in 2021 of most loved places to work!


  • Leverage business intelligence systems, robust data analytics, and strategic thinking to perform analysis related to the Finance team's current initiatives and effectively communicate findings
  • Utilize database technologies and Excel to develop, improve, and/or maintain standard reporting processes and design new analyses in collaboration with management
  • Prepare and distribute certain regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports, budgets, and forecasts using best technological practices
  • Provide support to the Finance team on cross-functional projects including (but not limited to) work related to operations, revenue management, capital investment analysis, group sales, and specific property performance
  • Provide as needed support for corporate and senior management, including (but not limited to) annual strategy reviews, corporate budgets, executive leadership team/board of director presentations, and corporate transactions (e.g., corporate financings, M&A activities, etc.)
  • Prepare materials for internal reporting to senior management/owners by identifying appropriate metrics, collecting data, synthesizing findings, and presenting pertinent information
  • Identify issues, opportunities, and their key drivers through analyses performed/reports prepared, present conclusions to management
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to better inform the team's data-driven decisions through improved quality of data presented.
  • Drive improvements in labor efficacy through leveraging Labor Management System
  • Help manage, maintain, and improve systems to further enable useful functionally and requirements to end users while ensuring accuracy of data / reporting
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Analysts


  • Minimum four year degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Hospitality, or related field
  • Proven ability in working with database systems and large datasets
  • Experience with robust budgeting/forecasting processes (OneStream preferred)
  • Excellent analytical skills and detailed knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and independent problem solving capabilities
  • Proven ability of understanding of KPIs and development of reporting off KPIs
  • Ability to learn and retain information quickly
  • Ability and wiliness to help develop others and to build strong working relationships
  • A proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization


  • Tableau experience
  • Coding experience
  • Experience in hospitality industry
  • Onestream or equivalent budget/forecasting system experience
