Position: Financial Analyst, Staff

Location: West Chicago suburbs

Work Location: 4 days in office; 1 day remote; Prefers team environment at office to learn post COVID, some ongoing work-from-home and commute flexibility

Job Description: Company looking for a staff-level Financial Analyst to add to corporate FP&A team.  Role includes professional development across a wide range of FP&A responsibilities.  Will assist with customer pricing models for RFPs, financial calculations and analysis for M&A transactions and other general corporate financial planning and analysis.  Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word, especially Excel able to work with large data sets.  SAP or other ERP experience helpful to extract data for analysis (preferred not required).


  • 0 – 3 years (target)
  • Manufacturing and/or distribution industry experience preferred (internships count!)
  • Financial and planning analysis experience preferred


  • Developmental financial planning & analysis (FP&A) role at the staff level
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for mergers & acquisitions (M&A) targets
  • Prepare and analyze customer pricing models for requests for proposals (RFPs) in Excel
  • Assist with a wide range of FP&A responsibilities including budgets, forecasting, financial and operational results
  • Ad hoc analytical projects in Excel with large data sets
  • Extract data from ERP system and analyze and create and update reports


  • Excel (minimum expectations are pivot tables, lookups, logic formulas)
  • PowerPoint (preparation including transitions within slides, graphics, tables)
  • Word (inserting information from PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Data extraction (from ERP systems): SAP preferred or other ERP but will train in this area
  • Staff-level FP&A experience preferred (working with financial statements, budgets, cost analysis, etc.)
