Fleet Management Project Manager

The Project Manager will support the VP, Global Business Services and Global Travel Manager in the development of a Global Fleet Management Process Ownership Model.  

Current State:

  • Decentralized, local ownership and administration with limited visibility on Total Cost of Ownership and KPI’s
  • TCOO: $4M+ for fleet (encompassing contracted lease terms, insurance, maintenance, fuel) across 230 vehicles
  • 20+ vendors across 13 countries in Europe
  • 20 (or more) colleagues involved in one or more phases of process.  Lack of internal ownership and subject matter expertise
  • Policy is “loose” and creates opportunity for excessive spend. Not enough “teeth” and coordination between HR, Sourcing, administration from acquisition through disposition

What has been tasked to Global Business Services:

  • Implement a global process ownership model that establishes internal subject matter expertise, achieves financial targets, standardizes policies and process, support Company business needs and creates a planned sustainable approach to managing the global vehicle fleet
  • Centralize ownership and governance of Company global fleet management within the Global Business Services organization.
  • Create a wholistic, centralized model for process ownership of human capital mobility mgmt. (travel, fleet, mileage) to include policy administration, process management, colleague support and external vendor management
  • Data visibility and transparency for lease administration and sustainability reporting/tracking

Project Management Need:

  • Detailed current state process assessment/documentation
  • Development of future state model (people, process, vendors, technology, etc.)
  • Assessment of current fleet vendors and help team execute a RFP for new fleet vendors, a fleet management outsourcing partner or a combination of both based on Future state model design
  • Transition of current process activities managed across the globe to GBS team
  • Transition existing vendors to selected new vendor and support model
  • Develop Operational support model and governance (ex: SLAs, SOPs, budget, reporting, stakeholder management, employee engagement model)

Skills & Experience needed:

  • Strong project management and team leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate business and process concepts
  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
  • Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
  • Five or more years of project management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or other related field
  • PMP, Prince 2 and/or Agile certifications preferred but not required with related hands-on delivery experience.
