Our client in the southwest suburbs of Chicago is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for their team!  The company is experiencing rapid growth and looking to add someone who will make a difference.  Hybrid role 2-3 days in the office. 

SUMMARY: Responsibilities include managing the purchase of products and services for their employers. They serve as the liaison in negotiations between their company and suppliers. It is their responsibility to assess vendors, negotiate new deals and renegotiate expiring contracts, and place orders for products and services. Also, able to assist with ad-hoc items or projects as needed.



  • Purchase products and services for an organization
  • Assess products, services, and vendors 
  • Develop and implement recommendations for supply chain management optimization 
  • Negotiate pricing and sourcing details with vendors
  • Conduct product and service quality appraisal 
  • Assist in accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes
  • Assist with invoice data entry, AP, Customer Vendor Relations, processing check disbursements, prepare 1099s and tax related matters for ERP systems
  • Comply with procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Assist with preparing and gathering support for government and external accountants/auditors to meet information needs
  • Assist in year-end tax and audit work 
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of Accounting experience &/or Accounts payable
  • Experience in ERP system (NetSuite)
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
