Accounting Manager

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer


  • Oversee the issuance of accurate, timely and complete financial statements
  • Maintain benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
  • Develop, calculate and issue financial and operating metrics and related analysis
  • Assist with annual budget process and completion of interim period forecasts by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
  • Calculate and perform analysis on variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  • Monitor and control Cash activity and prepare 13-week forecasts
  • Provide for a system of management cost reports
  • Provide financial analyses by collecting, interpreting, and reporting data as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, contract negotiations and other special reports


  • Coordinate with the external auditors to complete the annual audit
  • Comply with local, state, and federal legal requirements, reporting requirements, and tax filing by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
  • Coordinate and preparing internal and external financial statements
  • Make recommendations for improvement, implementing new processes, and providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
  • Guide financial decisions and protect assets by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing internal control system
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in accounting/finance
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
