Sales and Use Tax Analyst

SUMMARY: Perform accurate sales and use tax analysis & compliance activities. Provide sales and personal property tax support to the company and to outside customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare Sales & Use Tax calculations to ensure the accurate filing of tax returns

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tax deadlines

· Verify the proper tax treatment/rates for new commercial finance deals

· Review and approve exemption certificates

· Provide outstanding sales/personal property tax for commercial finance payoff requests

· Ability to utilize tax online research tools and communicate results in writing

· File business license and registrations to ensure taxpayers are compliant

· Resolve tax issues and assessments; and able to communicate in writing or verbally with State and Local tax representatives

· Prepare annual report filings

· 1099 & W9 compliance

· 2290 tax filings and IRS liaison

· Annual unclaimed property reporting

· Maintain monthly tax calendars

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, and at least 2-3 years of related experience

· Computer skills required: Advanced Excel

· Proficient in navigating online tax research tools
