Corporate Controller

Summary:

As a key member of the Finance & Accounting team, the Corporate Controller with have responsibility for all of the Company's accounting operations. S/he will ensure the accurate, timely and clear delivery of the monthly financials in accordance with GAAP standards through leadership of the close and consolidation activities.  The Corporate Controller will provide leadership in developing standardized financial reporting and foster an effective internal control environment. S/he will lead process improvement initiatives to achieve efficiencies in the finance and accounting function.  Additionally, s/he will work closely with the external auditors to both support the audit process and drive remediation activities.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and submit on a proactive basis the reporting requirements to Private Equity firm, as well as internal stakeholders and external auditors

• Build-out the accounting team

• Review, document, implement and communicate the enforcement of correct and appropriate accounting policies and procedures

• Coordinate with functional groups to harmonize and drive continuous improvement in all areas that interact with accounting and business processes

• Provide guidance, training and support for the finance and accounting team to ensure that reporting and compliance objectives are achieved while supporting talent        development initiatives and performance

• Support any M&A and Integration activities while providing financial and strategic advice to management on these matters

• Interface and collaborate with the CFO to manage external tax resources and treasury activities to ensure effective reporting and cash management activities

• Evaluate and re-design the financial accounting organization to ensure optimal reporting and control requirements

• Successfully integrate and assimilate new acquisitions into accounting processes, procedures and reporting requirements

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an accomplished financial executive with unquestionable integrity, a positive reputation and demonstrated success serving as an Assistant Controller or Controller within a publicly listed or private equity backed company.  S/he will possess strong accounting expertise with experience in forecasting, planning and analysis, financial statement preparation, financial systems and internal controls.  This role requires an experienced and energetic finance executive with strong technical knowledge specifically with percentage of completion, operations accounting, financial reporting, accounting systems and auditing procedures.  In addition, S/he must be a strong leader of people with the exhibited ability and track record to lead a team and assess, attract, develop, manage and retain top talent.  Additionally, this person should bring a change management mindset and a passion for process improvement initiatives.
