The Client Service Account Manager will be part of the Capital Markets & International Operations team supporting the Capital Markets business, supporting a full-service U.S. prime brokerage business, supporting alternative investment clients, such as hedge funds. 
 
This role will be accountable for managing the client relationship and working with both the business group and other teams to support the client.  This individual will be the central point of contact for prime brokerage clients (cash and synthetic) and act as their liaison within the prime brokerage business and across the organization.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
  • Build relationships with prime brokerage clients, including key decision makers, traders, and operational personnel, fostering a high level of trust
  • Oversee the client’s accounts and would be involved in all aspects of the client’s business with the organization including, but not limited to financing, margin, execution, clearing, settlement, give-ups, corporate actions, and reporting, across both Cash and Synthetic Prime Brokerage
  • Be a liaison between the client and other teams, including operations, technology, margin, and risk management
  • Responsible for daily client communications and interactions
  • Responsible for communicating issues and ensuring problems are resolved in a timely and accurate matter in relation to all aspects of the client’s business
  • Assist in resolving any issues relating to margin calls, corrections, bespoke margin, financing or settlement requests, corporate actions, reporting, fees, billing, give-ups, electronic execution
  • Introducing the PB technology, client portal, reporting and margining packages to the client
  • Review revenues, portfolios, balances, market share and trends by client across all products within PB and across the organization
  • Support the setup and expansion of a U.S. Prime Brokerage business working with Technology, Operations, Business Management, Client Service and Sales
  • Advise on best practices for the setup of the Client Service function, account management and servicing for all types of prime brokerage accounts across Regulation T, Portfolio Margin, Enhanced (Reg U)/house margin and synthetic prime brokerage
  • Assist with design of the client web portal with Front Office, Technology & Operations
  • Assist with design of internal and client facing reporting packs and assist with crafting procedures for monitoring them
  • Participated in vendor selection/evaluation, system testing (UAT), automation projects, and system enhancements
 
TOP SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of five years prior brokerage experience in PB Client Service
  • Cash and Synthetic Prime (desirable) Brokerage experience
  • Broker/dealer operations experience (settlements, trade flows, etc.)
  • Good understanding and importance of credit/margin
  • Knowledge of Risk Management
  • working knowledge of FINRA Rule 4210
  • Fed Reserve Regulation T
  • Bachelor’s Degree
 
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Series 7 & 63 (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Other SRO rules regarding the extension of credit
  • Previous FI experience
  • Base project experience (requirements, building platforms, client portals)
  • Someone that has played a liaison role
