Title: Motion Capture Technician

Location: Downtown Vancouver

Duration: ASAP - 18 month contract

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist team on capture projects (ie. system setup and calibration, markering talent/props/sets, capturing, and processing the mocap data.)
  • Problem solve any technical issues
  • Ensure high quality data capture/data quality assurance during shoots
  • Process and retarget motion capture data
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of the mocap production process
  • Ensure pipeline efficiency
  • Participate in improving data delivery pipeline
  • Stay current with motion capture practices
  • Pipeline management
  • File management and organization

 

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar position or any other relevant experience
  • AAA titles experience before in a role that focuses on capturing complex movement using programs such as unreal and mo-cap hardware.
  • Experience in the video game industry an asset
  • Virtual Production experience
  • Unreal Engine experience
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities of complex systems and networks
  • Basic Understanding of computer networks
  • On-set experience with actors, directors and performances
  • Experience with Motion Capture hardware, performance capture, virtual production pipelines, and current related technologies
  • Experience in Motion Builder, Motive/Optitrack
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborate and share knowledge within a team
