National Director of Operations Overview:

Our industry leading client continues to grow and is hiring a Director of Operations to ensure the national expansion continues.  They are located downtown and can boast of an amazing culture, so the National Director of Operations will require a strong focus on people, values, budget, efficiency, customer service, strategy and innovation.


National Director of Operations Job Description:

  • Establish quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding customer satisfaction, service levels, costs, productivity, machine performance, facility management, equipment utilization and performance as well as all other relevant data in relation to management of the national operations
  • Apply your track record of improving processes, increasing capacity and reducing costs
  • Ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met
  • Effectively analyses national operational performance data, P&L and costs
  • Solves national operational problems in a way consistent with service standards, budgets and statutory obligations
  • Manage reports from line managers in the administration, transport, logistics and customer service and treatment functions
  • Review national operating reports and liaise with Regional Operations Managers to direct the resolution of operational, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives and prepare position descriptions, advertise, recruit train staff where applicable
  • Ensure suitable sites for storage/processing and stock are maintained

National Director of Operations Required and Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA highly preferred
  • 15 years experience required
  • Service, healthcare, or manufacturing experience required
