To gain a competitive edge,\ncompanies will have to stay on top of current trends to attract the talent\nneeded to help them succeed in the new business landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Keeping\nin mind the only constant is change, here are the top 5 workplace trends for\n2020:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Companies are Preparing for an Influx of Millennials<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With many baby boomers preparing for\nretirement, the influx of millennials will shape the 2020 workplace. Many\nworkplaces will see the blending of generations, something that may pose\nchallenges to managers and HR teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.efrontlearning.com\/blog\/2017\/02\/corporate-training-millennials-workplace.html\">Demographically,\nmillennials are likely to be more creative and are willing to share their\ncreations through social media platforms<\/a>. Being keen early adopters of\nnew technology, training programs will need to be developed that cater to their\nlearning approach. Their insatiable appetite for learning means they will need\nto be engaged with their jobs or will seek out other opportunities that may\noffer more fulfillment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Increased Integration of AI and Humans<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rise of globalization has\nled to the need for more data driven decisions. Since data is the new gold of\nthe digital economy, increased automation will be needed to evaluate and make\nsense of all this data. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/90444541\/four-ways-work-will-change-in-2020\">Gartner\nresearch predicts that in 2020, one in five workers engaged in mostly\nnon-routine tasks will rely on AI to help them do their jobs.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While right now AI isn\u2019t able\nto integrate softer more \u201chuman\u201d skills into the workplace, companies will be\nforced to strike a balance between the use of AI and humans into processes and\noperations.
