Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst.
This role sits within the Technology & Security Finance function and provides end-to-end financial support for security, threat management, and governance portfolios. The position plays a key role in financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and decision support, while partnering closely with senior business, technology, and finance stakeholders.
- Provide end-to-end finance support including month-end close, forecasting, planning, and management reporting for security and threat management portfolios.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to deliver value-added financial analysis, insights, and advisory support to enable informed decision-making.
- Identify financial risks, cost pressures, and performance issues, and recommend solutions to support cost reductions and process improvements.
- Prepare and support business cases, ensuring appropriate financial assumptions for funding, cost estimates, and ongoing operational impacts.
- Ensure adherence to financial standards, policies, and controls with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Analyze operating results, trends, and variances, clearly communicating insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Technology, and Security teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, reporting, and planning activities.
- 4-6 years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience with month-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.
- Proven ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and drive cost and process improvements.
- Advanced technical skills in Excel, with experience using SAP, Essbase, OnePlan, and enterprise financial systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting technology, cybersecurity, or security-focused functions.
- Professional accounting or analyst designation such as CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, or CFA (or in progress).
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Business, or Economics.
