Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Risk Analyst to support its Personal Lending & Insurance business. This role sits within the Control Management function and plays a critical role in strengthening control frameworks across secured and unsecured lending products. The position focuses on regulatory compliance, risk management, control design and testing, and cross-functional collaboration to support the organization's strategic and regulatory objectives.
Responsibilities- Act as a subject matter expert in the development, execution, and enhancement of controls and processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Analyze and assess complex business problems and solutions; make decisions on behalf of secured and unsecured lending management to support initiatives and ensure adequate oversight.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business controls, risk, operations, channel partners, and other Lines of Business to support enterprise-wide strategies.
- Review and assess options and proposals for product, program, or service enhancements and provide recommendations to senior leadership on control and oversight impacts.
- Provide strategic and tactical support to technology and application development teams to ensure solutions align with internal standards, policies, and guidelines.
- Partner with Business Controls and Second Line of Defense teams to identify, manage, and test key processes and controls.
- Manage day-to-day product oversight to ensure alignment with policies, procedures, and client disclosure requirements.
- Ensure controls are designed effectively and operating as intended across secured and unsecured lending products.
- Leverage strong planning, analytical, and communication skills to deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines.
- Support additional secured and unsecured lending product initiatives as capacity permits.
- Minimum 1 year of audit experience.
- Minimum 1 year of control testing experience.
- Strong understanding of process flows with the ability to interpret and document processes.
- Governance and risk management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
