IFG is on the search for a Digital Marketing and PR Specialist to support a client in the retail industry in their ecommerce team.

 

SUMMARY:

To plan and execute our client’s digital marketing campaigns. Driving all aspects of online marketing efforts, including but not limited to PPC, SEO, targeted email campaigns, analytics, A/B testing, social etc. while identifying new media and content opportunities. Create and execute online marketing campaigns through email, social media and various other channels.  Secondary responsibility is managing public relations in Canada and US.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Digital Marketing

  • Plan, develop, implement and maintain campaigns across all digital marketing and social media platforms (email, paid search, display, remarketing, social, PR, SEO / SEM, and advertising campaigns).
  • Keep customer acquisition in line with CASL laws in Canada & GDPR in UK and additional regulations in other regions.
  • Manage agency relationships for search, display, email and affiliates.
  • Monitor web content related to brand, positive or negative posts – looking for opportunities to surprise and delight customers.
  • Identify new social media opportunities, along with maintaining Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Blog and Instagram. This includes but not limited to content creation, posting, execution, followers engagement & responsiveness.
  • Update social media platforms (content and promotions) and respond to comments made by   customers on these platforms
  • Identify & follow up on social media PR & outreach opportunities – seeding and blogging.  Schedule media visits, press releases, events and interviews.
  • Coordinate translation of appropriate content into French language
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on the changes/innovations surrounding new media with both self-directed education and the participation in formalized learning opportunities.
  • Manage affiliates’ promotional calendar, identify opportunities, analyse reports, etc.
  • Lead public relations activates including organizing media visits, story development and writing press releases.
  • Develop customer portraits and journeys to reveal emerging needs.
  • Maximise and manage digital marketing budget.
  • Collaborate, implement new web technologies and digital media trends
  • Plan and create engaging online content including videos, forums, blogs and monitor success and customer engagement.
    •     Produce reports and analyze KPI’s regarding the performance/activity on the websites using Google Analytics, Google Ad Wards and other relevant sites.
    •     General assistance in Marketing department with day to day needs i.e., PR giveaways, overall campaign ideas, copywriting, proofreading etc.
    •     Manage the Ambassador Influencer Program (celebrity endorsement)

  • Public Relations
  • Lead public relations activates including organizing media visits, story development and writing press releases.
  • Oversee PR agencies on short lead and long lead outreach as well manage seasonal media previews.
  • Oversee product seeding as requested by publications/stylists/editors.
  • Manage PR and product seeding budget.

 

          Website

  • Ensure consistency across channels (digital items match home page) by working with Site Merchandiser to plan, create, approve and QA
  • Coordinate creative for special promotions or seasonal promotions related to digital content
  • Familiarity with products (new and discontinued), along with general details
  • Proactively prepare work back plan for seasonal updates (3 month prior)
  • Ensure website is CASL compliant in Canada and GDPR compliant in UK/Europe
  • Prepare and distribute web update memos, including memos to staff for seasonal or event promotions

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

           EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 Year Diploma or Certificate from a college or technical Institute in Digital Marketing;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Website or Social Media or PR Marketing role
  • Experience in Segmenting, email automation set up, lead generation form creation, email coding and deployment, reporting, survey creation, customer data management and integration with world leading email service providers. Service providers such as Dotmailer or Mailchimp would be preferable, but not required. Also, familiarity with web insights within ESP would be helpful.
  • Experience in identifying tart audiences and creating digital marketing campaigns to engage, inform that lead to purchasing.
  • Adobe Creative suite skills would be preferable
  • Google Adwords – PPC and Google Display Network campaign creation, audience creation, keyword selection and reporting
  • Google UTM link tag manager
  • Tag Manager to manage sign up pop ups etc would be an asset.
  • Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, You Tube, LinkedIn and Twitter Ad Account Management
  • Experience using social management platforms such as, Meltwater and/or Hootsuite
  • CMS customer account management, data syncs, review management, updating content and reporting. Magento experience would be preferred.
  • Experience reporting and managing affiliate platforms. Specifically, AWIN and Webgains, would be an asset
  • Advance knowledge and experience with web analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Solid English language skills are essential.
  • Accounting/budgeting experience and asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills and teamwork.
  • Understanding of media landscape with press contacts would be an asset.
  • Hours may include weekends and holidays.
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and Photoshop
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a stressful, high paced work environment.
    Experience in building strategic frameworks (plans), and presenting ideas to various levels across the organization, driving execution of project to completion
  • Solid understanding of retail metrics, merchandise planning and financial planning/budgeting
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to function in an environment with a high level of ambiguity and change.
  • Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail.
