Plant Controller Overview:

We have a Plant Controller opportunity with a high-growth healthcare company located in DOWNTOWN Chicago!  The Controller will join an organization with a strong focus on future growth and business improvement. The Plant Controller is responsible for the operations Team – which includes double digit US based Plants. The Plant Controller is responsible for ensuring that adequate accounting, reporting, analysis and controls are in place at all manufacturing operations in North America.  In addition, this position interfaces with all levels of Operations and Senior Management providing an adequate description of all finances in the plants while participating in the development of cost reduction and efficiency improvement programs.

Plant Controller Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

The Controller will be a key member of the management team to drive the following financial areas:

  • Expense analysis, due diligence and planning
  • Cost Reduction Program
  • Production Efficiency Improvement Program
  • Asset management/Controls
  • Sox compliance in Plants
  • Manufacturing ClickView
  • Light General Accounting
  • Month end closing activities
  • Plant forecasts
  • Ad-hoc projects
  • Plant performance & improvement processes,
    • Variable Costs Analysis (LEAN review)
    • P&L spend analysis and reporting
  • Supply Chain reporting (including drill down on Workforce spend) for:
    • Operating Plants – with analysis by departments
    • Logistics Teams, and
    • Field Service Teams
  • Supply Chain (including Plant) cost management projects,
  • Finance lead on business acquisitions as it relates to Plant integration,

Plant Controller Required experience:

  • Plant floor or experience
  • IT Systems exposure (operational/routing/service based systems)
  • Process improvement experience
  • Travel: double digit plants in the USA and the success of this role will be dependent on a willingness to travel to these Plants to support their requirements
  • 7-15 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline
