Financial Services client located downtown Chicago is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to support business banking events that have activation requirements (gift bags, opening remarks, reserving booths, ordering collateral, gathering registrations, committing to ad publications and pushing collateral material through the agency, line of business and legal and compliance departments.) 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
Provide marketing and administrative/operational support to the Commercial & Business Banking Marketing team. Assist with tactical execution for business lines within Commercial & Business Banking. This position requires skills in the areas of listening, creative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating responsibility and integrity.

The candidate will be passionate and be looking for a generalist position within marketing which crosses over into advertising/marketing/events planning. Candidates that have agency experience already would be an advantage. Banking experience is not required. The candidate must also be organized, a strong writer, be able to collaborate with the team, be a self-starter and ask questions when the managers are out of the office. The manager is looking for candidates that have a calm/confident/level headed personality and a positive outlook.
 

  • Assist Marketing Managers in the day-to-day execution of marketing plans. 
  • Independently manage marketing activities including: recognition l internal website updates, conference sponsorship activations, CRM updates and collateral creation. 
  • Write communications and marketing materials. 
  • Oversee the creative approval process for ads, invitations, sell sheets and the like, including brand, compliance and legal review. 
  • Coordinate production, printing, shipping and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Manage vendor relationships. 
  • Help maintain project timelines and deliverables and ensure budget adherence. Schedule meetings, distribute recaps and aggregate reports as needed.

TOP SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or communications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required
    Strong organizations skills 

 

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of B2B marketing principles and methods for marketing, promoting and selling products or services
