Senior Financial Accountant

The Senior Financial Accountant will work in a new, state of the art, headquarters that offers such luxuries as a fireplace, gym (track), and patio area that resembles a downtown rooftop lounge!  The Senior Financial Accountant participates in the accounting and financial monthly close process and actively supports business operations through special projects and ad-hoc reporting.  Great exposure role, great company, and a great time for you to make a change!

Senior Financial Accountant Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate cross-functionally to meet strict project execution deadlines
  • Establish and manage the master data change management process related to general ledger.
  • Full responsibility for the preparation of General Ledger entries and reports for month-end close;
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and income statement account analysis;
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis;
  • Assist in the documentation and monitoring of internal controls;
  • Assist with all accounting aspects of the annual external audit processes;
  • Active role in forecast and annual budget process;
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of accounting and finance processes;
  • Responsible for documentation of processes and procedures

Senior Financial Accountant Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to research and resolve accounting application,
  • Knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventory;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Detail oriented and organized in work
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Resourceful, proactive and independent
  • Flexible and enthusiastic
  • Advanced Excel user;

Senior Financial Accountant Education and Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field;
  • 5+ years of related professional experience in Public Accounting and/or a global organization;
  • CPA
