General Description:

The A/P Specialist contract role is responsible for managing the daily operations of A/P, supporting the company’s SAP implementation and implementation of an automated Invoice Management solution and working closely with Accounting management to streamline a best practices A/P platform.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daily operations of an experienced 3-person A/P and Expense Reimbursement team
  • Perform routine supervisor-related duties such as reviewing and posting A/P voucher batches and A/P wire transfer transactions, managing electronic payments and resolving high-profile and/or escalated issues
  • Manage period-end A/P closing process
  • Identify and implement process improvements in A/P and expense reimbursement processes
  • Support A/P workstream of SAP implementation
  • Provide leadership role for automated Invoice Management solution (OCR)
  • Oversee compliance with company T&E policies and leverage utilization of Concur tool
  • Manage 1099 invoice and vendor classification, as well as year-end 1099 reporting
  • Support external financial statement audits, as appropriate
  • Serve as backup to team during periods of peak volume or special circumstances

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Large company, matrix organization experience required
  • 10+ years of relevant A/P experience, with 5+ years managing staff
  • Large ERP experience required, SAP preferred
  • ERP (SAP) implementation experience a definite plus
  • Prior experience with Concur required
  • Willingness to work at both supervisor and detail level
